In 2019, more than 200 hybrid electric vehicles have been registered by the public. More than 100 battery electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles are registered by the people of the UK. The survey by SMMT shows that in 2020, the number of electric vehicles registered in the UK is double the last year.
The market share of new electric vehicles in 2020 is more than 10%. However, the barriers to owning an electric car in the UK can be quite a concern for automobile manufacturers.
The concept is no doubt very new with very little experience about its durability in the long term. The manufacturers and with new government incentives, the market is pushed with lucrative offers for the consumer. But there will also be a but for the consumer to put their hands on a new range of car fleets.
