The eAutomotive group is represented by the mass and premium market of 21 car manufacturers. The goal is to deliver more than 90 electric and plug-in hybrid models by the end of 2022. The vehicle models are well equipped with electric drive systems, motors, inverters, or onboard chargers.

An agreement between the Valeo Group and Siemens was announced with the agenda to acquire Siemen’s 50% stake in Valeo Siemens eAutomotive. The newly formed collaboration, known as Valeo siemens eAutomotive is integrating a full 10% into Valeo’s Powertrain Systems business group. The joint venture headquarter is located in Erlangen.

Valeo will acquire the Siemen’s stake on a debt-free basis. The adventure cost for the newly acquired stake of Siemens was EUR 277 million for the Valeo group.

As you can see, the electrified market open the door for an unexpected collaboration between two different groups. It is interesting to see Valeo Siemens competition with the already established car manufacturers from Germany.

The design and the development led to the system being more compact and efficient than the combustion engine.

Valeo group is also in partnership with X-Charge. The partnership is working on recovering the electric energy from vehicles to send the power to the electricity grid or home to use it in peak demand.

Valeo technology companies also developed the first immersive communication system for vehicles. The vehicles are equipped with numerous sensors to become a communication tool for the driver and people outside the vehicle.
