Is Idriverplus street cleaning helpful in China?

Idriverplus is another solution to tackle the cleanliness department on the street. It is an unmanned and pure electric vehicle to intelligently sweep the roads. The founder of the concept is known as “Viggo” in China.

As it cleans the roads, it can automatically track the obstacles and avoid them. Idriverplus got its strategic cooperative partnership with Singapore, Dubai, Malaysia, and other areas in Asia.

The technology core is designed with Velodyne LiDAR sensors. The real-time data allows object and free space detection for safe and reliable navigation to operate. Cameras, an ultrasonic sensor for short-distance obstacle detection and avoidance. Integrated navigation and wheel-speed measurement sensors help it to be free from manual operation, cleaning is undertaken and watering-on road surfaces automatically.

The vehicle is employed with UM482 positioning and heading module by Unicore Communications. It is based on the company’s Nebulas II SoC (System on Chip). It supports GPS L1/L2, BDS B1/B2, GLONASS L1/L@, and Galileo E1/E5b satellite signals.

It is also integrated with onboard MEMS and Unicode’s U-Fashion technology. THE UM482 effectively solves the position disruptions caused by the loss of satellite signals. It also optimizes the continuity and reliability of positioning. The features also help in complex environments such as city canyons, buildings, and tunnels.

The running mileage is between 30-40 km depending on working conditions. The working condition is between 20 to 400C. The charging time is 4 to 5 hours. The battery capacity is 200Ah. The battery type is a ternary lithium battery. The net weight is 395 kg. The hopper capacity is 60Litres. The duration is 6-8 hours.

In my opinion, such cleaning projects are useful in the long term and its cost-efficient also. With minimum monitoring and observation, the projects are needed in useful ways.
