Even though Germany or The USA is well known for the use of industrial robots on a larger scale. Japan from the Asian region is strongly competitive and holds a strong position in the area of industrial robots.
The shipments of Industrial robot units across the world over the year from 2016 to 2021 has been in thousands. One of the exporters is also Japan.
As per a survey by IFR, the data of shipments of industrial robots from 2016 onwards shows the steady growth and rise in the number of industrial robots being shipped across the world:-
The production of robots and manipulators in Japan in 2018 has been around 911.61 billion Japanese yen. Even though the market was not growing steadily till 2013 with ups and downs in the production of robots and manipulators. (JARA)
The year 2014 onwards, a steady rise in the production of robots and manipulators was observed. The increment in the production value has been in the hundred billion Japanese yen every year.

Japan is suffering from a negative birth rate and a high rate of old age people. The gap is not marginalized but hugely creating a gap and a huge need for skilled resources in Japan. But till that time some solutions need to be there to meet the surplus need of the market production for economic stability.
Industrial robots have been a great advantage and a strong need to meet those labor gaps and counteract the repetitive work needed in production or manufacturing units.
Japan is not just limited to one kind of industrial robot. The country is heavily investing in R&D for the manufacturing of a variety of robotics types.
The interconnected machine lines work in a synchronized manner with an infinite number of sensors to make the operation Automatic. Is becoming a core backbone for Japan’s strong economy.
