What is Polestar’s strategy with sustainability efforts?

Polestar is a Swedish automotive brand by Volvo car’s partner Flash/Polestar Racing in 1996. In 2015, it got acquired by Volvo by 49.5%. It is headquartered in Torslanda outside Gothenburg, Sweden. The current CEO is Mr. Thomas Ingenlath 2017.

Polestar is also said to supply Hertz with 65,000 battery-powered vehicles with a five deal and more than $3 billion of revenue… mentioned as potential revenue to be generated by Automotive news.

Hertz is a car rental company, a subsidiary of Hertz Corporation. It was founded in 1918 by Walter L. Jacobs. The hertz rental car services are headquartered in Estero, Florida, US. The current CEO from 2022 is Stephen M. Scherr. The revenue generated by the company is 948 crores USD.

The electric car brand is partnering up with Allebike for a limited edition of the mountain bike. Does it sound interesting? I hope so!

The bike is priced at 9,500 Eur and only 100 Allebike Alpha Polestar Edition is available.

Sustainability has been expanded into marketing its brands with different strategies and also expanding its own business. The diversifying business models and different tactics utilized by the entrepreneur provided a breath of fresh air by Polestar.

As published in Tech Times, Polestar is taking sustainable themes to a different horizon. The automaker collaborated with the KOJA treehouse founders. They build sustainable houses in Finland.



It’s a unique step, as the Tesla owner going for Boxable houses. Treehouses bring back old memories of your childhood. But what about the customers? Are they targeting a limited number of customers?

As per Hypebeast, they are collaborating with the Swedish-designed mountain bike company Allebike. The company is working on a limited edition of the mountain bike, the Allebike Alpha Polestar Edition.

The features of the mountain bike consist of full suspension with a minimal aesthetic of Polestar. It is combined with Allebike’s technical know-how. It is available in two matter exterior colors: Snow and Space.

The design of the bike made it possible for a down-country class approach to cycling in tough terrain and also custom-made, lightweight, rigid carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer to stay intact.

At the front, it is designed with Öhlins gold dampers with 130 mm dia and at the rear with 120 mm dia for best performance up or downhill.

As per Thomas Ingenlath, the CEO of Polestar, “Attention to detail, design, and technology is integral when we develop our cars. We create the Allebike Alpha Polestar edition in the same spirit. Together with the great team at Allebike, we have crafted the perfect mountain bike for those who appreciate both a great ride and great design.” 

The collaboration shows the strong commitment and dedication by Polestar and not just in the EV industry but also in expanding its market in different endeavors with business the company is passionate about.

After all, anybody can sell a product but to make it a brand needs its uniqueness. Something Polestar is known to be a leader in the EV industry.

The approach is unparallel compared to its competitors but then a true leader doesn’t focus on the competition but lives for its legacy.
