The future with unknown inventions led by our present modern age of curiosity impacted by our past mix happens. Are we in search of legendary technology, invention, solution, or are we cultivating legendary resources to sustain the world sustainably? The future is unknown but the present times are promising with much potential for discovering new resources.

One such door has been opened by Cyanobacteria and the industry is calling it hydrogen factories. Is it possible to generate energy from bacteria for tomorrow? Can we use the Photosynthesis method to harvest energy for tomorrow and sustain it for a long time?

As per experts and researchers from one of the renowned scientific teams from Kiel, cyanobacteria are like green plants with the potential to carry out photosynthesis where solar energy is used for splitting water and the energy can be stored chemically mostly in sugar form.

As per the leading experts, the process uses electrons to pass through photosystems where universal energy carrier adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and NADPH, scientifically known as the reduction equivalents are generated in the cascade of reactions where CO2 is fixed with sugar produced.

The process for hydrogen production requires electrons to take part normally in the metabolic process, thereby an approach has been developed to redirect these electrons and the living organism is simulated.

The investigation of cyanobacterium proves that hydrogen can be extracted from protons and electrons by engineering the hydrogenases to achieve high efficiency. The process proves that with long-term engineering approaches and methods, the resource can prove financially beneficial for sustainable solutions.
