In comparison to other nations in the area, the IT market in Nepal and Bhutan is still somewhat tiny and underdeveloped. Yet, both nations are making efforts to expand their IT companies and upgrade their technological infrastructure.

Nepal:

• A small but growing IT industry with a focus on software development and IT services. A country with a large pool of young, educated workers with a relatively low cost of labor makes it an attractive destination for outsourcing. In Nepal, the IT industry is still in its early stages and faces challenges such as a lack of infrastructure, limited access to technology, and skilled workers.
• The Nepal government has been working hard to promote the IT development industry by providing funding and support to companies working in the field. The government is working also to improve the country’s technology infrastructure and educate citizens about the importance of technology and digital literacy.

Bhutan:

• A small but growing IT industry with a focus on software development, IT consulting, and BPO services. The country got a low cost of labor and a well-educated population making it an attractive destination for outsourcing. In the early stages, the IT industry in Bhutan still faces challenges such as a lack of infrastructure, limited access to technology, and a lack of skilled workers.  
• The Bhutan government is working to promote the IT development industry by providing funding and support to companies working in the field. The government is also working to improve the country’s technology infrastructure and digital literacy.

Even though the countries Nepal and Bhutan are short of the right tool of technologies and skilled workforce, the government of these countries is working hard to promote the development industry by providing funding and support to the companies working in the field and improving digital literacy.
