Which are the top sustainable brands in the Netherlands?

As per Statista, in 2022, the purchasing decisions of Dutch consumers are heavily influenced by the sustainability factor. Around 80% of the consumers are affected by the purchasing decision of Dutch shoppers.

As per the Internation’s Environment and Sustainability Ranking, Netherlands is 12th out of 60. The ranking has been done considering the air quality, natural environment, water and sanitation, availability of green goods and services, energy supply, local waste management, and recycling infrastructure.

The Netherlands ranked 9th in the sustainability products and utility category, 18th in air quality, and 9th in water and sanitation. However, not everything is green, it got ranked 46th in the natural environment category.

 

As per Sustainable Brand index TM, the Netherlands got 2nd position with 202 sustainable brands, 17 industries, and around 11000 consumers.

The sustainable industries in the Netherlands as per ranking are- Supermarkets, Mobility, Banks, Food, Health Insurance,  Energy, Beauty, Beverage, E-commerce, Digital, Retail, Travel &Tourism, Automotive, Telecom, Hotels, Restaurants/Cafes & Take-away, and  Airlines.

In 2022, around 68% of the Dutch people, discuss sustainability with friends and family whereas, in 2020, it was more than 70%. The reason is not known for such a decline. Whether it got solved? Or are they contained? Or nothing interesting?

Around 38% are positive about sustainability communication whereas 33% are negative about such communications. Around 33% of the Dutch people trust sustainability communication compared to 27% of them don’t.
