Geneva International Motor Show 2024: Where the future of wheels meets the present!

Let’s look at the top insights of these Marvelous Show:-

What we missed:-

Most of the German car companies, Japanese car companies, and also Stellantis (a global automaker offering innovative mobility solutions through iconic brands such as Jeep, Fiat, Peugeot, and more. Stellantis announced the launch of its 2024 share buyback program but faced a stock rating cut as investors noticed changes within the company.

Stellantis also aimed to sell up to 500,000 vehicles across Europe.) Even, the Indian brands also didn’t show their presence.

Now let’s get back at the cool stuffs.

Renault 5 e-tech

Renault Scenic E-Tech, the star of the show. The car of the year. The production version of the new Renault5 EV. This award-winning electric car is beautifully packed with designs and new technology.

The Renault Scenic was announced as the winner, beating out the six other finalists including BMW 5series, BYD Seal, Kia EV9, Peugeot e-3008, Toyota CHR, and the Volvo XC 40.

The winner was chosen based on the votes of a jury panel from 22 different countries. Each juror was given 25 points to distribute among the seven finalists, with a maximum of 10 points given to any one car. The points were tallied , keeping the audience in suspense until the final country’s votes were revealed.

The Renault Scenic was also praised for its light-weight construction, comfortable interior, and overall value.

Renault 5 Prototype, the Renault’5’s panoramic glass roof is an eye-catching topic with a new digital cockpit. The vehicle is launched with multiple color options (Yellow, green, and blue) and an impressive charging port that can send energy to other electronics. It is a modern take on the classic Renault 5.

Renault Captur, SUV in a plug-in hybrid version and a mild hybrid version.

The design of the Renault Rafale and Sone, both are fully electric and feature advanced technology and new multimedia systems. The Renault Cleo and Aace models were also mentioned.

Well, in total, the Renault stand is impressive with the hybrid and electric cars.

MG9 EV

MG9 EV, a hatchback sedan/coupe with a gorgeous exterior and interior.

  • MG ZS EV: A good value for an electric cars. It got a sporty design and looks.
  • MG 4: The electric car is similar to the MG ZS EV, with a hatchback design.
  • MG9 EV: A hatchback sedan/coupe with a gorgeous exterior and interior design that looks spectacular.
  • MG Cyberster EV: A sleek design with powerful sports car features, discovering the future of electric cars.

Dacia

The Data Duster and Data Spring, are the new versions of the cars with different ground clearances and hybrid options. The Data Stand got significant growth with an impressive new digital cockpit in the Data Duster and Spring.

Dacia Duster, SUV in a fully hybrid version and a mild hybrid version. The full hybrid version got a higher ground clearance than the other two versions.

Dacia Spring is a small electric car, available in two battery sizes: 45 kWh and 65 kWh.

Dacia’s Sandero Stepway, is the facelift 2024 version, catching the attention with its new digital cockpit and other changes to the exterior features.

BYD

  • BYD Han: This electric car has a very impressive interior. The projection of the lights on the back of the car.
  • BYD Seal: This electric car is a large SUV.
  • BYD Tang: This is another large electric SUV from BYD. It is similar to the BYD Seal, but it is even bigger.

The BYD stand were the grandest at the show with its two-level setup and vehicles including the Denza D9, Yang Wang U8 with a premium electric vehicle from BYD, met with interest from the press despite its high price tag of £110,000.

At the 2024 Geneva Motor Show, BYD launched the Seal U plug-in hybrid, expanding its product line after showcasing the Seal U SUV and Seal sedan [1][2][3]. The Seal U DM-i Plug-in Hybrid is BYD’s first plug-in hybrid model for the European market, showcasing their commitment to expanding their electrified vehicle offerings [3][4].

Lucid Gravity: The electric SUV is also quite large and luxurious with an impressive quality of the materials and the size of the car.

IM:-

The models such as LS6 and LS 7 are the impressive ones with four screens, and a panoramic glass roof, imported from a new Chinese brand, with unique impressive range and features.

The damping on the doors and the use of iPads in the dash are impressive for the models available from IM.

Škoda Enyaq iV: This electric car is similar to the Škoda Kodiaq, but it is electric.

Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV: This electric SUV is very luxurious and has a long range.

Fisker Ocean: This electric SUV is still in development, but it looks very promising.

Shineray vans: These vans are based on the Mercedes-Benz V-Class, but they are even more luxurious. They come with TVs, massage seats, and beds.
