We particularly promote Biofuel in the BioFuel Expo 2024. We are in the 2nd year.

The first expo took place in 2023. Last year’s experience was amazing because there wasn’t any platform for biofuel before, and the platform we created in the first year received a lot of positive responses.

Many people have advanced in this field today, and the best example is those who came to meet us last year to understand what we are doing. This year, those same people have come back as plant owners, having taken positive actions.

In particular, I represent Advanced Bio Energy Private Limited. My brand name is Advanced Bio Energy Private Limited. Our company has been in this industry for around twelve years, focusing mainly on biodiesel and ethanol.

These two products are crucial because biodiesel replaces diesel and ethanol replaces petrol. CNG and other such products are also final products.

Neutral carbon means there is no pollution at all, and for that, we are updating the technology. As of today, we also have generators that run only and only on biodiesel. We have displayed it here as well.

Today, I will show it to you. This is a biodiesel-based generator. You can use 100% biodiesel in it. Look at its efficiency, we have designed it in such a way that if your biodiesel has a problem, where it tends to freeze at lower temperatures, it won’t be an issue here. If it freezes, what will happen?

We have included a special heating facility inside. As soon as the generator starts, it heats the fuel, converts it into liquid form, and then the generator starts.

So, this is its USP. We are collaborating with a UK-based company, J Power, to bring these generators here so that Indian people can benefit from them. If we use biodiesel in normal generators, some maintenance issues or other problems might arise. But with these generators, any potential problems are solved.

There is no need for them to face any problems or make any modifications. You can use either biodiesel or diesel in this, and there won’t be any issues.

Another thing is that its engine is made by a renowned company that makes excellent engines worldwide. Just like Tata and Mahindra here, which are known for their cars, this company’s engines are similarly reputable. We use their engines and run them on biodiesel. This is the best. Now, let me tell you about our plant.

What about the cost?

The price is not much different from the price of diesel generators in the Indian market. We are offering biodiesel generators at the same price. The unique selling point (USP) is that you can run them on either biodiesel or diesel.

Considering the lifespan, generally, any generator is expected to last for about twenty years. However, with our engines, which are of standard quality, you can run them for up to thirty years without any problem, but we guarantee a lifespan of twenty years.

Secondly, let me introduce you to some of our customers. They visited us at last year’s expo and today they are plant owners. They are also associated with us. Here we have Mr. Rahul, Mr. Satish Bhai, and Mr. Tejendra Pal Singh Parma.

Moving on to the next

Here, you can see all the raw materials: acid oil, used cooking oil, stearin, and animal tallow. These are the raw materials we use to produce biodiesel.

After processing them, they move to the second stage where the material is non-distilled. This means that we have completed the initial conversion with this material. Finally, we convert it into this, which looks like water – transparent, crystal clear. This is the distilled material. So, the journey from this material to this material is biodiesel.

Next is the plant

We have a 3D model that shows the entire process from raw material to finished product. These are the distillation columns and reactors. If you look toward the back, you will see the boiler, cooling tower, glycerin storage, and methanol storage.

The setup of the plant includes raw material storage and the office area. The entire plant setup is designed to look like an industrial factory.

What about the cost of the plant?

In my opinion, the technology we use in India is the most cost-effective worldwide. If you import a plant from China, a product that costs four crore rupees there will only cost you one crore rupees here because their prices are three times higher.

If you call them from India and ask for a plant, they will clearly refuse, saying their plant is not viable here. They will suggest you find a local Indian vendor. We have tried ordering from them, but their costs are too high.

In India, you can start with a small-scale biodiesel plant without requiring a large investment. The budget can be as low as one crore rupees, and can be scaled up according to capacity – two crore, five crore, ten crore, or even fifty crore rupees.

We can design projects according to the client’s budget. Additionally, there is government support for this sector. If they want, they can receive a subsidy of ten to fifteen percent from MSME.

This percentage may vary slightly from state to state, but generally, it’s ten to fifteen percent. There is also an interest subsidy ranging from five to seven percent.

Which locations in India are you targeting?

We aim to target every corner of India.

Because of its versatility, we want small plants to be set up even in small villages. If people can work by setting up small plants, they can utilize used cooking oil from restaurants and non-edible oils from small edible oil companies in villages.

If they collect all these raw materials and convert them into biodiesel, it opens up a new business opportunity, which even small-scale entrepreneurs can undertake.

Whether it’s small-scale, medium-scale, or even an individual, anyone can work on this, and it’s feasible everywhere.

Speaking of small and medium-scale, the government provides support. You can file a tender anytime and supply it directly to the government.

Additionally, every manufacturing industry uses boilers where heat is required, or machinery is used for transportation, such as JCBs, cranes, and hydras.

These machines all use fuel, making diesel customers our potential customers. The advantage for them is that we offer biodiesel at a lower cost than diesel.

Moreover, they get GST credit, which is 12%. For instance, if today’s diesel price is 95 rupees, and I offer you biodiesel at 95 rupees, the actual cost to you will be about 10 rupees cheaper due to the GST credit.

The biggest advantage is that you get GST credit, which you don’t get with diesel. As you can see, people’s interest in biofuel is increasing day by day.

Another important thing is that on the 4th of last month, after the cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Modi mentioned green energy in his speech.

He said that we will focus on green energy and that it will advance so much in the future that we will make a name for ourselves worldwide in this field.

Green energy has a lot of potential because our country is agriculture-based and we are known for our agriculture worldwide.

We can produce biofuel from our agricultural residues, from our oil waste, and even convert our plastic waste into diesel. There are many options.

Even in agriculture, grains like rice and wheat sometimes rot in storage. This spoiled material can also be used as fuel. It can be used for cattle feed or other consumption purposes, making it a complete bio-product without any wastage or pollution, resulting in clean and green energy.

What about the certification of the technologies?

The technology we provide is certified. All machinery and equipment meet industry standards. The biodiesel we produce also adheres to these standards. Only by meeting these standards can you supply to OMC (Oil Marketing Companies) and industries to ensure no defects or problems with machinery, making it easy for people to use.

What about the Green Hydrogen plant?

Yes, let’s talk about hydrogen production. Hydrogen is still a future product for us. The reason is that there hasn’t been much progress yet because vehicles or engines running on hydrogen are not widely available.

Also, the necessary engine development hasn’t happened yet, so what we currently use can be utilized within industries. The market for transportation and other general applications still needs to be developed. However, hydrogen is the future.

There’s a lot of potential and the government has already started taking steps in that direction by providing companies with the means to work on hydrogen-powered engines. Progress is being made, but hydrogen is still in its nascent stages.

We might discuss hydrogen plans next year if we meet at an expo, and we might decide to adopt hydrogen in the coming years.

However, the feasibility is not yet visible. It’s not feasible on a small scale, and there are challenges in supplying it to industries. The casting margin between the two is still too narrow, and there’s also a lack of avenues for investment.

It’s right for the future, but if we expect to start a project this year and complete it by next year, it might not happen.

Hydrogen is best for the industry, but growth will be slow because it’s not yet feasible. This doesn’t mean that progress isn’t happening; it’s just slower than expected.

People have started, but the results or feedback we desire may take another one or two years. After that, technology will advance, casting margins will reduce, and certain processes will become more cost-effective.

Currently, we use electrolyzers, which convert electricity into hydrogen. So ultimately, we’re providing solutions with green hydrogen and projects involving green hydrogen may be a bit costly.

You can reduce costs with solar or wind turbines. Such projects must be near water bodies because water is the primary source of hydrogen production. So, it’s a project that will mostly be on a larger scale rather than a small scale. Nevertheless, its future potential is immense.

What about Advance Biofuel?

Advance Biofuel, which is my company, BioAccess Private Limited, was established by us. In the last two years, we have grown significantly. Every year, we have almost grown by one hundred fifty-two, and today as well.

When we came here last year, we had projects worth one thousand seventeen plants. The projects we are going to undertake this year, now that we are standing here, we have thirty-five pending projects, which will be completed within a year or a year and a half.

So, the growth, you cannot believe, is a hundred thousand times, the growth is happening, it is happening across the entire industry.

Note that what we are doing, so the entire industry is going well. Whether it is my company or any other company, the growth inside every company is very good. And for those who want to start with small investments, i.e., from small games, there is also a very big opportunity for them.

If you join in, then what you start with today, you will earn one hundred today, two hundred tomorrow, and then five hundred the day after.

That’s the growth. Because the entire market is open, and another important thing is that if I tell you about biofuel, our retirement is still less than one percent in front of retirement production today.

The government’s target for landing is seven percent, but we won’t be able to achieve seven percent in the next ten years or five years. It’s not even possible, but right now, we are reducing the lease on the van person, so production is very low within India.

So, understand that the whole market is open. You can do as much as you want, and develop as much as you want. The possibility is complete, so the investment is yours from one hundred. It will take one to two years to recover your entire investment. Then whatever you earn is your total profit.

What about international collaboration?

We are in collaboration with Interlabs, where, as I told you, we have collaboration with many companies with J power. We have collaborated with many companies in diesel, ethanol, and foreign.

Technologies are different, but there is collaboration on technology.

Secondly, we sell fuel from here. Many times, there is a supply within foreign where they say, “If we sell fuel here, how much margin will we get, how will it work, will it be visible or not?”

There are many questions about inward.

So, for that, we have also set up another option that we get fuel from the sun with the help of a fun company for the plant. The company will order you to give us fuel from the sun entirely.

Whatever your capacity is, if you set up a fifty-day plant, if you set up a hundred-day plant, then the company that collaborates with you will give you all the production for a hundred days.

But the only thing is that you have to import the raw material you use.

Meaning that a complete export unit will be established. Import will be your raw material, export will be your entire material, and no company will buy.

Where will it be more feasible for customers?

If I tell you, we have ports within Gujarat, and you can set up your plant nearby, within kilometer or two hundred kilometers.

So, exports will be from everywhere.

Secondly, Maharashtra also has a Mumbai board.

And there is Chennai in the south. So, wherever the port is nearby, setting up an export unit from there is very easy. For example, let’s talk about Gujarat. Dohad is there. Export units are very high within Dohad. And the industry area is also very large.

And the land there is also cheap, so if you set up a unit there now or in the future, it is very easy for you.

So, the export unit is trending at today’s rate because wherever plants are being set up, there is some competition.

So, there is fear from there. Clean, you don’t need to be afraid.

You import raw metal and export the rest.

What about importing raw materials?

And for importing raw materials, there are many countries available. Like, it comes from Singapore. It comes from Malaysia. It comes from India, and it also comes from Dubai, so from the countries where you get sources of raw material, and also from Africa.

From Africa, you also get booking oil, etc., in cheap quality because there is not much development there. So, that material can be available there itself.

Apart from that, there are many countries from where you can import material and for importing too. We also support them; we also provide them with parties or importer-exporter parties. Coordinate with them. Have meetings with them.
