Blink charging is a full-service provider of charging infrastructure in the US for designing, building, and operating chargers. Blink has installed more than 51,000 charging points in 25 countries.

The company provides AC chargers. Also, Blink is involved in the roaming network called as “Blink network”. Blink charging provides fast, level 2 EV charging stations and a network for homes and businesses. It is headquartered in Florida and was founded in 1998. Blink is in cooperation with Hubject from 2018 onwards.

Hubject is a Berlin-based joint venture. It was founded in 2012 by leading energy, technology, and automotive companies for jumpstarting an industry and redefining mobility. It is operating across 750 partners on 4 continents with an interchange network. Christian Hahn is the CEO.

As of now, Blink announced the expansion of its partnership with Hubject and bring forward the plug&charge functionality in the USA and Europe markets.

“The Plug&Charge cooperation that has now been agreed upon primarily involves the charging stations operated by Blink itself. The Plug&Charge function is based on the ISO15118 protocol, which enables a fully automatic charging process.” Electrive.

“This collaboration will be an added benefit for EV drivers who charge with Blink chargers,” says Michael D. Farkas, CEO, and founder of Blink Charging. “Hubject’s Plug&Charge service will enable Blink users with vehicles capable of using Plug&Charge to charge their EVs without the need of an RFID card or using an app, making the charging experience more convenient and reliable.”

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Blink Charging to offer their drivers a seamless Plug&Charge experience across their expansive North American and European network,” said Trishan Peruma, CEO of Hubject.

“Creating an effortless charging experience for EV drivers lowers the barriers to EV adoption. The more straightforward the process, the more people will be convinced to join in the mobility transition.”

Well, we can see small collaborations also in the EV market, and the way to revolutionize the charging pattern is itself taking the market in a very futuristic as well different than what we have today.
