In 2019, the Global Environment Facility (UEF) Global electric mobility program was launched to support 27 developing countries. India is also included to increase zero-emission electric mobility.
India also unveiled its plan at COP 26 to launch nearly two-thirds of electric vehicles by 2030. It includes 70% of the two-wheeler market also.
The main goal is not just to be in the trend but it helps to meet the climate change requirement and also advance the Indian economy by enabling EV start-ups for establishing original equipment manufacturers.

Especially for two-wheelers to be a success story, it needs support from city planners, electricity system developers, and operators for building the right infrastructure for EVs.
However, the largest obstacle to EV adoption is the electric charging demand with the supply of EV charging facilities and also the cost of charging bikes.
Well, in that way, the Government is expected to act as a catalyst to bring a standardized charging rate as well as parking zones for shared mobility.
