One of the most helpful tools in the guidance for business decision-making is artificial swarm intelligence. The tool was developed by Metcalf, Askay, and Rosenberg which allow humans to make decisions better in “keeping humans in the loop: Pooling knowledge through Artificial Swarm Intelligence is to improve decision-making capability better in business.” The tool was developed based on the inspiration from the animal kingdom such as flocks of birds or ant colonies.
A framework was proposed by combining explicit and tactic knowledge which helped in curating the limitations in alternative techniques such as surveys, crowdsourcing, or prediction markets. The major application of such a tool in forecasting sales or even defining strategic priorities.
