As per a study conducted by Moses Strydom and Sheryl Buckley, 4.2 billion (55%) population out of the 7.6 billion world population recorded by Worldometers are using the internet. The estimation was done by the United Nations. The internet users in Africa are around 11% on a world scale and the range is represented from 2000-2018.

Even though the population in North America is 5% out of the 7.6 billion world population, internet usage recorded is 95%. The study showed that Asians are the majority of world Internet’s users but then also it masks the reality that e-commerce platform has not been able to reach its full potential even with all facilities.

As per a report by Soper (2018), more than 100 million products were sold by Amazon to its worldwide customer with a $4.2 billion bonanza which includes table salt in India, Coke Zero in Singapore, and toothpaste in China.

As you can see the majority of the customer contributed to Amazon’s wealth and its achievement is from Asia even though Alibaba has a strong presence in Asia.
